Meet Jessica

​

Jessica Day grew up in Knightdale, NC, and has seen it grow from a small community to one of the fastest-growing cities in North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and is currently pursuing her MBA at the North Carolina State University Jenkins Graduate School of Management.  She has spent most of her career in Supply Chain starting with Syngenta Crop Protection and later continuing in the Agro-Chemical business with BASF Chemical Company. Since the start of her career, she has had the opportunity to gain additional experience in real estate sales, insurance sales, and financial education.

 

Jessica has had the opportunity to serve in several leadership positions.  She became the first African American female to be elected to the Knightdale Town Council in 2017 and became Mayor Pro Tem in 2019. In January 2021 she became the first African American Female to hold the seat as Mayor for the Town of Knightdale. During her tenure, she has participated in numerous projects and initiatives, most recently serving as the facilitator for the Knightdale Police Department’s 2020 Community Policing Forum. She has served as a liaison to the Public Safety Advisory Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Knightdale Chamber of Commerce, Passage Home Board of Directors, and the Triangle J Council of Governments. She is a proud member of World Overcomers Christian Church and the Knightdale Rotary Club and truly believes in “service above self.”

 

She has taken her passion for helping others and her leadership experience to become an executive coach training and supporting leaders in operational excellence.  She provides coaching and consulting services to facilitate change, increase value creation and improve business efficiency and effectiveness.
